Why I Speak Up

I didn’t know what a GPA was until I entered my junior year of high school when I was told I had to start looking at colleges if I wanted to be ~successful~ after graduating high school.

I never asked the questions other people were.

It wasn’t even a question. It was just (1) what am I going to major in and (2) how the F am I going to pay for this.

I never had an older mentor to assist me, or help shed some light and perspective on what I was about to commit to.

Both of my parents went to college, both finishing & receiving their degree, both landing a job that had nothing to do with their major.

I stepped onto the campus at Western New England University back in 2012, not realizing the impact it would have on my life — as a person, a friend, a daughter BLAH BLAH BLAH.

I love being able to share my experiences now with anyone whenever, wherever, however I can. It is SO important. I can only hope that I can help others feels so not in the dark during this time in my life like I did.
